Boston Area Service Industry Relief

Helping Your Neighborhood Service Industry, One Tip At A Time

About 86

86 Bartender was created by service industry workers in the Boston area who have been affected by the COVID-19 shutdown.
The goal of this site is to create a network for those affected in the industry, in hopes to provide some relief.

about

An Industry Supported By Community

Now more than ever the Boston, Massachusetts service industry community is showing its strength by coming together to support one another. Whether it's delivering home cooked meals, raising donations, or creating entertaining social media content, workers have been doing amazing things to support one another. However, things are still tough for many as we are all feeling the impact of COVID-19. Service industry professionals continue to be severely impacted economically by restaurants, bars, and clubs which have been forced to remain closed.

86 Bartender is a channel connecting you to local service industry professionals who work in the neighborhoods you dine, drink, and party in. Whenever you have a meal or drink at home during these times consider tipping a service industry worker in your neighborhood, using Venmo or Cash App from the list below.

If you would like to support the entire cause, check out the Network page for information on how to donate to the Tip Jar, which will be distributed equally across those who are participating. If you're a Bartender, Server, Barista, Busser, Chef/Kitchen Staff, Cocktail Server, or Host/Hostess, and want to be added to the list below, Send Us An Email providing your name, the business you work at, the neighborhood it is in, and your Venmo and/or CashApp. Everyone who signs up will also be added to the Tip Jar distribution.

The List

While we all spend time at home, consider tipping a service industry worker in your neighborhood from the list below,
when ever you have a meal or drink at home. If you work in the service industry and would like to be added to the list,
or you are looking to contribute to the Tip Jar, check out the Network page for more information. Every worker that
signs up will be "tipped out" equally from the Jar once we hit our first round goal.
